3-Day Itinerary

Wherever mountains spring up from the sea, adventure is soon to follow.

The entire area surrounding Los Cabos is home to unmistakable energy that wafts like salt on the breeze, whether it’s the adrenaline from watching a spool of line start humming while sport fishing with friends, to hiking to hidden swimming holes to help beat the desert heat.

You can revel in Cabo’s world-class nightlife, rise each day with the sun, or kick back, relax, and let it all go—the journey is yours to create.

Day 1: Ocean Explorers

One of the most popular Los Cabos activities is simply getting out on the water. Take a snorkel cruise out to Land’s End and stop at iconic Lover’s Beach, or feel like you’ve traveled to the end of the Earth with a half-day, dirt road, coral reef adventure to Cabo Pulmo National Marine Park. Take a surf lesson at Playa Los Cerritos, ride a wave at Zipper’s, or even search for Humpback whales as they splash offshore each winter. Or, for another winter adventure you’ll certainly never forget, make the two-hour journey to La Paz for the chance to swim and snorkel with whale sharks—the largest fish in the sea.

Day 2: Mountain (Or Market) Explorers

Take the roads that are literally less traveled and wind your way up into the canyons of the Sierra de La Laguna Mountains. This rugged range outside Los Cabos hosts waterfalls, swimming holes, hot springs, hiking, and the chance to wander historic Santiago—a mission town that’s tucked amongst palm groves, and dates to 1721.  Or, for guided, land-based activities, spend a day with Wild Canyon Adventures as you zipline, bungee jump, ride ATVs (or camels!) through spectacular desert scenery. To swap the adrenaline for art and culture, head to historic San Jose del Cabo and wander the colorful artisan district, before soaking up the colonial architecture around the town’s main square.

Day 3: Explore Going Nowhere at All

After two days filled with non-stop activity, explore the comfort, luxury, and serenity, of simply staying put. Enjoy a cabana at the ocean view pool, slowly swim up to the pool bar, or saunter down to the Enclave Beach Club for tapas and drinks by the sand. Feast on plates full of wood-fired pizza at the ocean view restaurant, Leña, or sample fresh sushi, seafood, and fish while dining poolside at Mio. Altamar members can join in the cocktail hour in the moments just before sunset, and regardless of which class of room you’ve booked, finding a perch by the edgeless pool and watching the sunset fade into the night is the perfect end to any Los Cabos vacation, adventure, or escape.
