Spa Oasis: Frequently Asked Questions

Spa Oasis strives to provide each client with an unforgettable experience. To make your treatment as enjoyable as possible, please review these frequently asked questions.

POLICIES:

Is there a minimum age for treatments?
Spa Oasis is for guests 12 years of age and older. Salon services are available to guests of all ages. We offer special services in our Kids Oasis program available for guest 4 years of age and older. Learn more about our spa services for kids. <Cabo Kids Oasis>

What time should I arrive?
We encourage you to arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled service. This will allow enough time to check-in, change and enjoy our facilities.

What if I am late for my appointment?
Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, thus lessening its effectiveness and your pleasure. Your treatment will end on time so the next guest will not be delayed. The full value of your treatment will be charged. Your spa experience is your time, and you should enjoy it to the fullest.

What is the cancellation policy?
If you must reschedule or cancel your appointment, please notify the Spa at least six hours in advance to avoid being charged the full service fee. Cancellations of packages or private parties require one week?s notice. Groups are subject to a four-week cancellation policy.

What about gratuities?
Gratuities are at the guest?s discretion and appreciated by the staff for outstanding service. For groups of 3 or more persons prices are subject to a 20% service charge.

What about payment for spa services?
All prices are in US Dollars. Mexican sales tax is not included.
All major credit cards and travelers checks are accepted. You may also charge Spa services to your resort bill. Prices are subject to change without notice.

Prior to Arrival

How can I make a reservation?
The Spa staff can help plan your spa experience, including the best order of treatments. Please call 1.877.354.1399 or email us at SpaOasis@Hilton.com. We recommend that you schedule spa services in advance.

Can I eat before my treatment?

We recommend that you do not eat immediately before a treatment; schedule meals at least one hour prior to your appointment.

What about my jewelry and valuables?
Please remove any jewelry and other valuables prior to your spa visit. Lockers are available for personal items; however, if you are a guest of the resort, it is recommended you leave valuable items in the safe in your guest room. We request that cell phones and pagers be turned off in the Spa.

Should I shave before a treatment?
Shaving is recommended but not necessary for gentlemen prior to a facial. If you choose to shave prior to your facial, please do so at least two hours before your appointment.
To achieve the utmost satisfaction and comfort from your service, we ask that you wait at least 8 hours before and after a body scrub or peel to shave. In addition, we recommend that you limit your sun exposure before or after the facial.

Upon Arrival

What should I wear during my treatment?
Our therapists are highly skilled in correct draping procedures to ensure your complete comfort and privacy. However, undergarments may be worn during treatments if you wish. Disposable undergarments are available on request.

Once in the locker room, you will receive a spa locker key, spa robe and sandals. Following your spa experience, please return these items. A charge of $50 will be incurred for each item that is not returned.

What about my comfort?
This is your time and you should delight in the experience to the fullest.

Communication assures the best results. Complete the health questionnaire provided prior to your treatments so that we can customize our services to your personal needs. If you have allergies, injuries or require special attention on a specific part of your body, please notify both the receptionist and your therapist. If you experience discomfort due to room temperature, massage pressure, music volume or any other conditions, please tell your therapist immediately. Your therapist will tailor the treatment to make sure you are totally satisfied.

Spa Services

How can I get the most out of my treatment?
Deep breathing promotes relaxation and will enhance the therapeutic qualities and pleasure of your massage. Once the treatment has finished, allow yourself to ease out of your treatment by not standing up too quickly. Some clients experience slight dizziness after a treatment.

Be sure to drink plenty of water for two or more hours after your treatment in order to aid the therapeutic process.

Are gift certificates available from the spa?
Spa gift certificates may be purchased in specific dollar amounts. Please contact us at SpaOasis@Hilton.com for more information.

Spa Oasis gift certificates are valid only for spa treatments and services and may not be redeemed elsewhere at Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort. Gift certificates are non-refundable and non-transferable and have no cash value. Any remaining balance may not be redeemed for services upon a future date. Certificate must be rendered at time of service.

What products are used?
The product line that we use is from GTS Company, which is the most exclusive line in Europe. This wide line of products from Italy let us choose and customize for the satisfaction of our guests. Product lines includes Thalmer Thalasso SPA which concentrates and incorporate the effectiveness of marine active ingredients ?algae, plankton, mud ? all extremely rich in mineral salts, trace elements, proteins and sugar.

Can I purchase the products used during my treatment?
Spa products used during your treatment are available for purchase. An additional selection of unique retail products is also available. Inquire at the reception desk.

What is Nausicaa?
Nausicaa is a piece of equipment where beauty and wellbeing merge into a dimension of new harmony. Water is used in its different forms - steam, mist and liquid, together with hot air, cromatherapy and aromatherapy, to bring the ultimate in relaxation while the products and the different treatments provide your body and/or face with the benefits of wellbeing and beauty.
