Sometimes the perfect timing can turn an already spectacular wedding into something truly one-of-a-kind. One wedding group a few weeks ago discovered this in the best way when they had a chance to add an unusual activity to their reception.

From July to November, Hilton Los Cabos Resort participates in the Sea Turtle Protection program. Our certified team collects Olive Ridley Sea Turtle eggs along a 3.5-mile span of beachfront and places them into our secured Hilton Beach Sanctuary. When the baby turtles hatch, we invite our guests to participate in release them safely to the sea. It’s always a highlight of the fall season.

On August 27, we had a ceremony and reception on the beach. During the cocktail hour the Hilton Security Department announced that there would be a turtle release.  For the first time this year, we had the opportunity to invite one of our wedding groups to join in the release. Not only was it an unforgettable experience, it was a terrific photo op for the bride and groom. They mentioned that releasing the baby turtles will be a wonderful memory looking back at their Hilton Los Cabos wedding!
